Been here multiple times, I would say it's always good! Service is great, they check in on you many times. The restaurant itself is beautiful, gives me chill vibes. The food is great and has so much flavor. I would recommend ordering Hakata Tonkotsu, Chicken Karaage and Marufuku Bites!

The decor is a dark, modern yet cozy setting with rectangle and square tables. It's not huge but they fit a lot of tables inside without it feeling cramped. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was the perfect size. The broth was incredibly rich and creamy, bursting with flavor that kept me coming back for more. The noodles were cooked very well, and the chashu was tender and full of flavor. We also shared some chicken karaage as an appetizer, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was really top-notch--friendly and attentive the entire time. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and was extremely nice to my kids. If you're a ramen lover, this place is a must-visit when in Redwood City.

Had both this location and the Cupertino location bookmarked and was so excited to try this spot! We parked in the structure across the street which has free 90 minute parking. We joined the waitlist via Yelp and were seated promptly at 2:15 or so on a Sunday. The service was fast, almost not in a good way in that they wanted to immediately take our orders. We got the pirikara chicken bites to share. We didn't love these. Somehow, the chicken quality wasn't as expected and the combo of flavors just wasn't my favorite. It's also a very small portion for the price. I got the Spicy tantan men ramen and my husband got the hakata tonkotsu dx. We both enjoyed our ramen and found it super flavorful. The noodles were different between the tantanmen and the tonkotsu with the tonkotsu noodles being thinner. Overall we liked the noodles in the spicy tantan men a little more. Although we felt super rushed out (despite them not being busy at all), we would likely still come back, knowing we are going to feel rushed and maybe not the most welcome, but maybe worth it for some good ramen!

Met up with friends for lunch at MR La st weekend. They arrived first and put down their name. We waited a while to be seated. We ordered: Gyoza: kids enjoyed these (but the frozen ones I make at home look better) Hakata ramen: solid broth, not too salty, lots of noodles. Mentaiko bowl: kid liked this. Service was ok. I asked for extra utensils and it never came.

I love visiting Marufuku and also ordering takeout. they have the best takeout Ramen system by separating the noodles and the broth so everything stays fresh and not soggy. The Ramen broth is rich in flavor and the pork chashu tasty and satisfying. The service is always really quick in restaurant. And they have lots of classic Japanese options that are always full of flavor! Satisfies our Ramen craving every time. there can be sometimes a wait on busy weekend nights. But it usually moves quickly and the staff is super helpful. And there's lots of other places to poke around and see in downtown while you eat.

Had a reservation at a more plush restaurant nearby but my son checked this place out and voila, canceled the other one and had to have ramen tonight. It did not disappoint - I love the thin ramen and the buta kakuni (braised thick pork belly). Also had the MARUFUKU BITES (Steamed buns filled with homemade pork chashu) and they were absolutely delicious. Wish there were more chashu filling though. Interior is nice, trendy and reminds me of Japan's ramen-ya.

I've been here many many times now and loved the food. Specifically my favourites here are: 1 edamame- fresh 2. Chicken karage- this is definitely top of my list. They serve with some mayo and chili powder and that makes all the difference 3. Marufuku buns- these have a pork stuffing and are so soft and delicious, they melt in the mouth 4. Japanese curry - this wa something I tried very recently and absolutely loved it. It comes with a nice salad with a plum dressing 5. Tonkotzu ramen- delicious pork broth. Can ask for extra broth if that's the main attraction for you. We recently were served by Sarah who is one of the best servers I've ever met. She was polite, very courteous and just made us feel very welcome Ambience is good, dim lighting just like you'd expect at a ramen place.

Marufuku is one of my favorite ramen shops in the Bay! Making plans with my friend, we were debating between a couple places but ultimately decided on Marufuku. So glad we did as I could try a new location and it was her first time. Similar to their other locations (Oakland and SF), this location gets busy. It's a nicely spaced restaurant with plenty of seating for pairs or groups plus a bar! Since I got here earlier I sat at the bar before I could sit at the table (full party needed to be seated). I found service to be attentive when we first arrived around 5:30pm but as the dinner rush came in, we weren't checked in on. One thing to note is food came out fast! I'm a huge fan of their Hakata Tonkotsu but thiss go around, I enjoyed the Vegetable Ramen with No Tomatoes. My friend also got the same but with no egg. The vegetable ramen also leaves me full! It's filled with a variety of vegetables, rich and creamy broth, and bouncy spinach noodles. The flavor and seasonings are *chefs kiss.* I'd get this again and again! Ramen lovers on the peninsula have plenty of options. Aside from paying spots in San Mateo a visit, Marufuku in Redwood City is worth it! Quality, quantity, and consistency they got it down. The restaurant is also easy to find Middlefield Road along a row of restaurants. I recommend parking in Jefferson Ave. parking garage because it's free for the first 1.5 hours. There's also metered parking in the neighborhood.

Serving authentic Hakata-style Tonkotsu Ramen & more! @marufukuramenofficial has many locations in California, New York, and Texas to get your comfort meal fix. Their broth is amazing as they boil it for hours. And you can pair the meal with their other dishes/appetizers, and we highly recommend their Pirikara Chicken Bites! The place is so cute and our server Carlos was amazing! - -- -- - Pirikara Chicken Bites Fried Shishito Chicken Karaage Spicy TanTan Hakata Tonkotsu DX
